IZZY awakes with a start. She rises up from laying on the bathroom floor, absently smoothing down the prom dress. She looks down at the dress and it suddenly all comes flooding back--the prom, her dress, Denny...

MEREDITH walks in wearing her bathrobe and holding a glass of orange juice. She crouches down and hands the juice to Izzy, who takes it and starts drinking it down. Meredith sits beside her on the floor.

                                                                How you feeling? You finally got some sleep.

GEORGE sticks his head in.

                                                                                         GEORGE
                                                              Izzy? Is she awake?

                                                                                          IZZY
                                                              Yeah, I'm awake.

                                                                                          GEORGE
                                                              Have Meredith pay your chiropractor bills. I wanted
                                                              to at least get you up off the floor.

Izzy smiles wanly as George walks in and sits down.

                                                                                        IZZY
                                                             I'm alright. I think it's the dress that will never be the same.
                                                             Plus I had... the strangest dream.

Meredith looks at Izzy, concerned.

                                                                                     MEREDITH
                                                                           (hesitating)
                                                              Was it... Was it about you and Denny?

                                                             
                                                                                     IZZY
                                                              No, it... Actually it was about you and Denny.

Izzy suddenly laughs.

Meredith and George exchange confused looks.

                                                                                   MEREDITH
                                                              What?

                                                                                   IZZY
                                                              No, you had drowned and Denny helped you decide to
                                                              come back. Him and Dylan. And... Doc.

                                                                                   MEREDITH
                                                              Dylan?? Well, Izzy, I wouldn't drown. I'm a pretty
                                                              good swimmer.

Izzy laughs again.

George and Meredith now exchange worried looks.

                                                                                     IZZY
                                                              No, you don't get it. Derek saved you, and then he
                                                              was mad at you because you wouldn't swim. And then
                                                              the Chief's wife was pregnant--

                                                                                    GEORGE
                                                              Pregnant??

                                                                                    MEREDITH
                                                              Izzy, the chief's wife is in her 50s, I think. I don't think
                                                              that would happen--

                                                                                    IZZY
                                                               Cristina was marrying Burke--

CRISTINA pops her head in.

                                                                                    CRISTINA
                                                               WHAT?! Bite your tongue! There's no way
                                                               I'd get married to anyone right now...

Cristina stops herself, remembering Denny.

Izzy assures her.

                                                                                    IZZY
                                                                It's okay. It didn't happen anyway. He left you
                                                                at the altar--

                                                                                    CRISTINA
                                                                 He WHAT!? McBastard!

                                                                                     IZZY
                                                                 But George did get married...

George immediately balks.

                                                                                     GEORGE
                                                                  I did? You're kidding! Why in the world would I
                                                                  get married?

                                                                                     HAROLD O'MALLEY (offstage)
                                                                  Georgie! Georgie, you ready??

                                                                                       GEORGE
                                                                             (shouts)
                                                                   Be right there, dad!
                                                                             (to Izzy)
                                                                   There's my dad. I promised we'd go fishing today.
                                                                   But hey, Izzy, if you need me to stay...

                                                                                       IZZY
                                                                          (suddenly very strongly)
                                                                    NO! George, go be with you dad! Spend every
                                                                    moment you can with him!

George looks at Izzy strangely and nods. He gets up from the floor and exits.

                                                                                       MEREDITH
                                                                     Ok, so I almost died, Cristina was almost a bride--

Cristina hmphs.

                                                                                       MEREDITH (continues)
                                                                     And George was a bride. What about you?
                                                                     Anything happen for you?
                              
                                                                                        IZZY
                                                                       I... I helped save a little girl... that I cared about
                                                                       very much...

Izzy trails off.

Meredith and Cristina exchange a look.

                                                                                       CRISTINA
                                                                      Hey, who did George marry?

                                                                                        IZZY
                                                                                  (sighs)
                                                                      Dr. Torres.

Meredith and Cristina's eyes meet and they rock with laughter! Izzy looks at them, smiling.

                                                                      George married Callie??

                                                                                        CRISTINA
                                                                      Come on, that would make her Callie O'Malley!

All three of them laugh hysterically.
