Weird Doctor Who Dream #7,080

So help me, I NEVER used to dream about Doctor Who before, even when I was watching Tom Baker & Romana (#2) every day!

Anyway...

I came in the middle of an episode, so there was David Tennant/Ten talking. I couldn't really hear what was going on, and then all of a sudden, there's a cut to an outside shot and it looked like we were in downtown Chicago, under the elevated train tracks (called "The El" in Chi-town), specifically at Wabash and Monroe (where I found myself earlier this week--and actually I used to go here every day at one time in my life, knew it like the back of my hand, so it kills me that it looks different every few months these days! But I digress...).

The outside shot was a wide shot, so you could see both sides of the street, and was somewhat diffused of color--and there were all the previous doctors! They were all spread out, talking to various people on the sidewalks--maybe all looking for someone?? Yes, even the doctors whose actors have passed; CGI does wonders!

Yeah, that wasn't creepy enough--and then I found out that I was watching not an episode called "The Ten Doctors," but an episode named "The Twelve Doctors"--?!? When'd THAT happen??

And then while I was trying to figure that out, all of a sudden there's Rose/Billie Piper, dressed all in white with huge white wings on her back! She was back inside and was talking and trying to comfort Ten, while all the other doctors were sitting at a large table and talking to each other in the background--except Nine/Christopher Eccleston, noticeably. Rose looks at all the doctors and says, "So these are all your grandfathers, then?" The doctors have heard her question and they start laughing. One of them (Pertwee? Baker?) answered, "I should say not!" The fifth doctor/Peter Davison speaks, "Do I look old enough to have grandchildren?" The first doctor/William Hartnell says, "I used to have a granddaughter..." Then they all start muttering and talking amongst themselves again.

And then I woke up.

Weird. Just weird!

Hmmm....maybe SOMEBODY needs to take a break. Heh.

That's a good one!
What was the deal with the granddaughter anyway??? I'm so confused and this series hasn't dealt with that at all.
I've got so much to catch up on...

Oy! You've no idea! I'm so out of it that I forgot that this was a holiday weekend for me!

I have no idea! I've never seen those earliest episodes of the series, and I've only heard here and there about the granddaughter at all. Where is she supposed to be? And I guess she died in the Time War--??

:-)

Which reminds me. I'm going to try a video experiment soon. Having the TARDIS materialize in Chicago. Maybe I'll come down to ALA on a lunch, and you and Tina can stand casually somewhere around where I'll CGI the TARDIS appearing and disappearing. :-D

Ooh, cool!

Downtown you could really have the TARDIS on a parking meter ;>!
