Val Spring 2010

Timothy Omundson

I was making a gag about how I liked Lassiter from the "Psych" TV show better when he was Jesus, er, Eli, back when he was on "Xena," which led me to this bio entry for the actor who plays Lassiter, Timothy Omundson, on the DragonCon web site. And I had NO IDEA he was at the USC Theater School--from 1987 to 1991?! Sheesh, I probably walked past him a million times! The (stage) Theater and the Film Theater were right across from each other on campus.

The only other thing is that Omundson bears a faint resemblance to he-who-cannot-be-named. And so now I occasionally have to fight this reflex to think that he's such a big jerk when I see him.

So when that hits, I just try to distract myself with the fact that he has really pointy ears. And that the extensions he wore as Eli really hid that well :>!

Timothy Omundson

Timothy Omundson grew up near Seattle, WA, where he started studying theater at the age of twelve. He moved to L.A. in 1987 to attend USC's School of Theater and began his professional career shortly after graduation, with three lines on Seinfeld. Since then, he has appeared in over 30 TV and film productions. He was a series regular on the medical drama Medicine Ball and a recurring guest star on Jack & Jill, Seaquest DSV (where he first worked with Ted Raimi), and the NBC sitcom Fired Up.

He portrays 'Eli' on Xena: Warrior Princess and can be seen currently as 'Sean Potter' opposite Tyne Daily on the CBS hit Judging Amy. Tim lives in the Hollywood Hills with his wife, Allison and their dogs Betty and Sally.
