But, of course, my question became did he offer such suggestions when President Clinton's sex scandal was raging--? I don't know for sure, but I suspect that he did not. It's amazingly two-faced of some of the Republicans to have stymied Clinton's attempts to focus on the problems brewing in the Middle East while the Lewinsky and impeachment actions were going on, to the point of calling a bombing that he did okay to try to catch/kill Bin Laden as his trying to "wag the dog," accusing Clinton of exaggerating the danger posed by the Middle East to distract us from the scandal. And now that we've had 9/11 they want to pin the blame on him for it, saying that he didn't do enough to stop Bin Laden--?! Yeah, I knew why Clinton was all up in Chris Wallace's face a few weeks ago--some of these Republicans are unbelievable!!
Which brings me to Stein's hypocrisy. Like I said, I don't know if Stein did buck the Republican outcry for Clinton's head on a platter; I'd love it if someone could tell me where Stein stood. But I bet he didn't and that he was willing to sacrifice notice of world events then for the Clinton-Lewinsky circus to continue. Since when has he given a care about what happens in the Congo and the Sudan?! It's blatantly obvious that when the guy in trouble is on his team, then it suddenly just isn't that important and should all be swept under the rug.
I await Stein's visit to Africa, passing out food and distributing aid.
